* inscape n. - the essential, distinctive, and

The Inscape Chamber Music Project is a series of concerts designed to probe the vast
depths of the chamber music repertoire. These concerts aim to engage the audience and
provide a compelling way to explore both standard and non-standard works.
Performers include members and friends of the Inscape Chamber Orchestra, an ensemble
founded in 2004, which has quickly captivated audiences with unique and exciting programs.
Inscape members regularly perform with the National, Philadelphia, Virginia, and Richmond
Symphonies, the Washington Opera Orchestra, and are members of the premiere
Washington service bands. Inscape alumni are currently members of orchestras across the
United States
Inscape is strongly committed to presenting a diverse mix of new and old works, with a
special dedication to new works of young American composers. Under the direction of
Richard Scerbo, Inscape has performed the world premieres of works by Joseph Hallman,
Justin Boyer, and Maurice Saylor. The 2008 - 09 series will include a new work by John
McGinn and another piece of both Hallman and Boyer.
Inscape is the Ensemble in Residence at The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in
Bethesda, Maryland. The church's superb acoustic and ambiance make it a wonderful place
to perform and hear concerts.
